“Ghnocci” is the new English-speaking stand-up comedy tour bringing top european and international acts to Italy, hosted by Filippo Spreafico as resident MC.
This cycle of shows stands out as the first in Italy dedicated to showcasing some of the most fresh, innovative, original and internationally recognized comedians from across Europe.
The mission is to bring in Italy the best acts from a global comedy renaissance, featuring performers who have spent the last decade perfecting their craft and making audiences laugh all over the world.
“Ghnocci” is produced and curated by Italy’s most globetrotting comedian, Filippo Spreafico, together with DNA concerti.
ALI WOODS
Ali Woods is a half-English, half-Scottish comedian, podcaster and content creator. After a third sell-out Edinburgh Fringe run in 2024, Ali is a refreshing mix of the ‘every man’ and the ‘modern man’, whose sensitivity and genuine interest in men’s mental health gives him a great perspective on the modern ‘lad’ culture which often features in his comedy. Ali is that wonderful blend of comedy with a heart, speaking on topics such as football, the environment, and many social causes close to his heart.
Ali won Hackney Empire New Act of the Year 2020 and has appeared on BBC Radio 4, TalkRadio, TalkSport. His online comedy sketches under the tag @aliwoodsgigs have gained millions of views and likes, and featured on LadBible and Buzzfeed UK. In 2022, he supported Russell Kane and Axel Blake on tour and in 2024 supported Adam Kay.

In 2024, Ali starred on Comedy Central Live and Stand Up Sketch Show. He also had a third sold out Edinburgh run with his show ‘At the Moment’ he then embarked on his first ever solo tour across the UK and Ireland to sold-out audiences.
SHAHAK SHAPIRA
Shahak Shapira is an Israel-born, Berlin-based comedian. Being a pro German comedian, Shahak is mostly known for things that have nothing to do with comedy, such as his art projects YOLOCAUST, #HeyTwitter and the 90’S BOILER ROOM – all gaining major attention all over the world. He was the head writer and host of his own sketch comedy show „Shapira Shapira“ on public German TV channel ZDFneo – the show ran for two seasons and introduced the first celebrity roast ever on German TV. Before that, Shahak toured all over Germany with his first stand up special “German Humor”, recorded another one for Comedy Central and wrote two best-selling books with over 80k sold copies, the second one reaching the first place of the Amazon bestseller charts on the day of it’s release. He opened for New York comic Joe List and those little annoying stand up clips he uploads on social media were seen by over 5 million people.
WARY NICHEN
Wary Nichen is a comedian, writer and a filmmaker. His show Nomad has taken him to different cities on four continents. Performing in English, French, Arabic, and Spanish, Nichen uses his keen sense of observation and improv skills to highlight the differences between East and West – bringing people of different backgrounds together to laugh about themselves. Switching gears after a career in telecommunications, he now appears regularly on French TV, and his political satire is often featured on francophone radio. He also writes comedy series for French and Algerian TV. His news-based jokes have made the pages of Le Monde and the New York Times.
LARA RICOTE
Lara Ricote is a Mexican-American-Venezuelan stand up comic who has won the Best Newcomer Award at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival 2022 for her critically acclaimed show GRL/LATNX/DEF and won the Funny Stage Women Award in London in 2021. She’s based in Amsterdam, NL and has been working in London for the last year. Since then she’s been on Comedy Central, Channel 4 shows, E4 shows, and Dave panel shows. She has performed all over the UK, Europe and Argentina, in both Spanish and in English.
The Guardian describes her as a “razor-sharp goofball,” and her show as a “riotously inventive show that blurs notions of race, gender and disability.”
FILIPPO SPREAFICO
Filippo Spreafico is an Italian comic, actor, radio host and musician. He was featured on Comedy Central and Italian public broadcaster Rai2. He has performed in four continents, taking part in the Edinburgh and Adelaide Fringe Festivals, and tours Europe and Italy regularly in English and Italian.
